There was an unconfirmed report on the Birding-aus Listserver this morning of over 200,000 Little Red Flying-foxes presently occurring around Penrith. The person who reported the observation indicated that they are camped near the Nepean Rowing Club.

Has there been anyone visiting Penrith over the last few days who could confirm these details? What is in flower around there that could be attracting Little Red Flying-foxes in such large numbers?
