My brother-in-law (an architect) has recently finished building a holiday house at Coomba Park (about 25 km S of Forster-Tuncurry. The house has a large upstairs balcony which extends around the outside of the house, giving great views of Wallis Lake and the surrrounding countryside. The only problem is that there are millions of mosquitoes that (given a chance) would suck every ml of blood from your body (slight exaggeration, I know).
Has anyone come across a sure way of deterring mozzies from entering balcony/verandah areas of designer homes, other than the use of mosquito coils or mozzie spray? I know it's not the sort of question that would be posed to fellow ecological consultants, but I thought one or two of you may have had some personal experience, either at home or on the job.
