This is another very cheap battery supplier. I bought 6v 12ah batteries for about $10 less than what I would have paid for 6v 10ah batteries in a major retailer chain (ie $40 ea in a shop, $35 ea incl postage for a stronger battery).

I've recently looked at buying some new variable power spotlights. Finding one with a dimmer built in or a battery switch to allow variable voltage is either limited in choice (Faunatech, Powa-Beam and Lightforce), or expensive (eg the variable power and focus Lightforces currently only available in the UK). You can buy lights or even kits (battery packs and dimmer switch) built in from the three Australian manufacturers I mentioned previously.

But if you're ike me, you may also already have good spotlights that needs dimmers added. After much googling, I found trying to find a shop that sells the lightforce the dimmer unit separately is very hard! I only found two gunshops in SA that sell them. The cheapest (@$70.50 each plus postage) I just bought from this site:

Using a dimmer, voltage range range from 0-12v, hence significantly prolonging battery life. If you're using say a 50-100W light on a <10Ah 12V battery, your usage time will significantly increase with a dimmer. Hence not only good from a wildlife ethics point of view, but also good in extending battery time!

Thought I'd start a new thread on recommended suppliers.

I just bought some great 18ah 12v batteries for spotlighting for $69 each including postage. This power of battery last nearly 2hrs on a 100w battery, before you start using the dimmer. I acquired them here:
