Reporting into the National Operations Manager/Principal Ecologist, you will lead a team of dedicated and talented Ecologists within our high performing Port Macquarie office, to continue the upward trajectory of our on-going success. Your previous consulting experience will assist you to lead various projects covering environmental assessments, conservation, research projects, pest management and environmental monitoring across a wide range of ecosystems.
You will take pride in being the ‘go-to’ person for not only producing, but reviewing final reports to ensure legible compilation, presentation, evaluation and analysis of ecological data. This role will offer you variety, support from an experienced management team, on-going learning and development opportunities and the ability to mentor the Ecology team.
This opportunity is suited to a botanist/environmental scientist with a strong technical background. You will have a track-record of leading projects, client engagement and people management. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and ideally be a BAM Accredited Assessor, however Biodiversity Australia will support this accreditation if not yet obtained.
This position is based in Biodiversity Australia’s brand new Port Macquarie office.
