2026 ECA Plant ID Workshops

The ECA will be hosting two Plant ID Workshops again this year 

Cost per workshop:

$380 members; $480 non-members

(includes morning tea and lunch and afternoon tea)

 

Eucalyptus Identification Workshop (Coastal Hinterland-Tablelands and Western Slopes) 

Study a set of common eucalypts of the coastal hinterland / tablelands and western slopes regions along with their features.

Workshop focuses primarily on the identification of a species-set with emphasis on their different features along with some eucalypt traits and characteristics.

The workshop is fully catered and will run for two days with a field walk to complete the workshop on the second day.

Date: Thursday 15 – Friday 16 October (9am-5pm)

Location: Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst, 1 Conrod Straight, Mount Panorama

What to bring: Any useful field guides you want to refer to. A 10 x hand lens is useful.

Please advise any dietary preferences. Please aim to be at workshop around at least 10 minutes prior to start both days.

 

Acacia Workshop (Wattles)

Study a set of common Acacia spp. (Wattles) of the coast and coastal hinterland regions along with their features.

Workshop focuses primarily on the identification of a species-set with emphasis on their different features along with some wattle traits and characteristics.

The workshop is fully catered and will run for two days with a field walk to complete the workshop on the second day.

Date: Thursday 29 – Friday 30 October (9am-5pm)

Location: Revesby Workers Club, 2B Brett St, Revesby.
