Nest Boxes are readily used as a mitigation measure for the loss of habitat, however there is a lack of nest box standards and guidelines in NSW. The purpose of this workshop is to share valuable information on nest box use, design, successes and failures to improve the quality of nest box programs in NSW. An introduction and overview will be presented by Dr Ross Goldingay, followed by a session on box design and structure, including alternatives such as drilling holes, chainsaw hollows and recycling of hollows. The afternoon will include some more detailed case studies and a discussion session .
