Ecoplanning is a leading environmental consultancy established in 2014 that specialises in the provision of ecological, conservation planning and offset advice in NSW.

The opportunity

An exceptional opportunity is available for an Operations Manager to lead and support our team of more than 30 consultants. This role will suit someone with experience in environmental or similar consulting service. You will have proven success in managing teams and be motivated by the opportunity to guide the future success of our highly regarded consultancy.

The Operations Manager will be part of the Ecoplanning leadership team, demonstrating our company values of respect, integrity, commitment, personal growth and teamwork. You will contribute to a healthy and positive company culture and work closely with our staff to ensure company processes are maintained to deliver quality products for our clients. You will work collaboratively with Team Leaders to oversee people and processes, ensuring that team members are accountable to their project commitments and have the appropriate training and resources to be effective in their roles.

Requirements

Essential:

· A degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Conservation Biology, Business Management or related discipline.

· Qualifications, training and/or experience as an Operations Manager or Manager of a team of consultants.

· In-depth understanding of the operational requirements of an environmental or similar consultancy.

· Exceptional project management skills (that can be cascaded through the team).

· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

· Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.

· Ability to secure new business opportunities and support the team in winning work.

· Ability to work in the Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

· Alignment with the company values.

Desirable:

· Honours or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.

· Strong skills in ecology.

· Leadership training.

· Practical knowledge of biodiversity offsetting at State and Commonwealth level.
